How Epoxy Flooring Las Cruces Works
Epoxy Flooring Las Cruces puts resin coatings on concrete in Las Cruces and the rest of the Mesilla Valley. Our work covers garage floors, patios, pool decks, workshops and commercial floors. We install epoxy, polyaspartic, flake and quartz systems, and we decide which one fits after we have looked at your slab.
Concrete in southern New Mexico has its own habits. The Cruces soil series, which the USDA describes from a typical site in Doña Ana County, formed in sandy sediment laid down by water and wind, with a hard caliche layer often 8 to 20 inches down. The New Mexico Bureau of Geology lists Las Cruces among the places where housing developments have been affected by collapsible soils, which settle when they get wet. Slabs on that kind of ground can crack and shift. Add early-summer highs in the mid-90s and spring wind that blows grit under every garage door, and a coating has a lot to deal with.
What you can expect from us
- A visit to measure the floor and check for cracks, settlement, moisture, oil and old sealers or paint.
- A written quote that lists the system, the number of coats, the prep work and the total.
- Mechanical diamond grinding of the slab. We do not rely on acid etching alone.
- Cracks, chips and spalls filled before the first coat.
- Install times planned around heat. Epoxy has a narrow working temperature range, so summer jobs start early in the day.
- Plain instructions on when to walk on the floor, when to move things back and when to drive on it.
Some problems are bigger than a floor coating. A slab that is still moving, a crack that keeps widening, or water coming in under a wall needs a different fix first. If we see that, we tell you before you pay for a coating.
